Vaultra Storage began its operations in Orangeville in 2013 after taking over Big Bear Storage on Stewart Court growing from its branches in Alberta and Keswick. Vaultra has since grown to have 17 locations across Canada, being mostly centralized in Ontario.
Stacey Scher, part of the Senior Sales and business development at Vaultra Storage says that one of the things that sets Vaultra Storage apart from other storage companies is their people, “One of the reasons that makes us successful and different is our people and our commitment to the community at large.”
“One of the reasons that makes us successful and different is our people and our commitment to the community at large.”
Scher mentioned various ways that Vaultra Storage helps the community of Dufferin County in collaboration with the Dufferin Board of Trade saying, “We really want to be part of the community, as opposed to being a faceless entity.” Scher mentioned that Vaultra Storage worked with Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, helping to raise over $3,000. He also mentioned they are hosting a special barbeque coming up. He says, “There’s always something we can do to help raise money or help awareness.” He continued, “Whether that be a local charity that needs a unit or helping police and fire to have a place to store toys during Christmas.”
The community is also able to assist Vaultra Storage if they need storage, like many do. He says, “Getting storage is usually a stressful situation, we can help by taking away that stress.” He says that the easiest and one of the only ways that Dufferin County residents can help Vaultra is by simply choosing them to store their items.

“If you come to Vaultra, you will be treated like family.”
Vaultra’s pitch to the community to get storage at Vaultra is the variety of options they offer at affordable prices. He cited the size of storage units being available in various sizes such as small, medium and large. Scher also excitedly mentioned the recently built climate controlled storage units, saying, “They’re heated in the winter, climatized in summer.” He continued, “We also have boxes and moving supplies, if you don’t need storage but need boxes, we have them.” Another important aspect of Vaultra Storage is the various U-Haul’s that are available to be rented to people looking to make a move. Vaultra also offers door service for those that may be unable or unwilling to do the move themselves. Finally, Scher said, “If you come to Vaultra, you will be treated like family.”
One of the things that influenced Vaultra Storage’s expansion to Orangeville, as Scher put it, “At the time we were looking to buy storage units and Dufferin County looked promising to us.” He continued, “It needed some work, which we did, and we have made it into a successful storage facility.” Another factor that Scher mentioned was the people, he said, “I’ve met a lot of great people here.” He cited that one of the things that makes Dufferin so great is the organizations that people contribute to so that the community can be as successful as possible.
