At the rink, library or grocery store, residents tell me what is working in Orangeville and what is not. Council requires observing our community, connecting it to the world around us, anticipating how broader issues could affect Orangeville and finding practical, fiscally responsible solutions.
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with a bilingual honours degree in International Studies and History. My family has called Orangeville home since 2011, and this is where my children are growing up. I have served as Chair of Sustainable Orangeville, Vice-Chair of the Orangeville Public Library Board, and a Scout leader, and recently joined the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation Board.
Four years on Council have taught me how to navigate Town Hall, build relationships and move ideas toward practical results. I’ve reduced my teaching role to dedicate more time to public service: finding funding and revenue, delivering better value for taxpayers and building resilience.
