Rob Woon-Fat is an Orangeville resident, career coach, and father running for Town Council to help make local government more accessible, responsive, and connected to residents.
His #AmplifyOrangeville platform is focused on re-engaging the approximately 73% of eligible voters who did not participate in Orangeville’s last municipal election. Rob believes residents shouldn’t have to attend lengthy Council meetings to understand what’s happening or have a voice.
His priorities include creating a Digital Front Door where residents can easily understand issues and provide input before decisions are made; improving neighbourhood and school-zone safety by balancing data with lived experience; attracting investment and jobs through more responsive municipal processes; increasing transparency and accountability; and creating new opportunities for community volunteering.
Rob’s goal is simple: make municipal government easier to understand, easier to participate in and easier to influence.
