Lindsay Wegener

My name is Lindsay Wegener. I’m running for your council.

Here is my unconventional platform First off I must begin by saying I will be making only one promise during my campaign. This is because political figures do this all the time, become elected only to find out they cannot fulfill their promises.

Therefore my one promise to you the people of Shelburne, is to be the best councillor I can, by listening to your needs and concerns and making decisions based on what is best for our community.

My experience as a community volunteer and supporter include fall fair board member, street festival committee, heritage music festival, soup haus, girl guides of Canada, scouts canada, generous international canada, feral cat rescue, CDRC, school fundraisers, local non profit sports organizations. I support local operations such as the farmers market, BIA, legion and local events.

I believe firmly in our fire, police dept and paramedics and feel they are crucial to our success for a healthy and safe developing town. I’m excited to see where the current residential development is going and the new faces it will bring to our town but feel we need to focus more on industry to allow our residents to have employment opportunities here. I look forward to working closely with our many amazing community support groups in developing maintaining and improving not only our parks but our town as a whole as your councillor.

A vote for me is a vote for integrity and honesty.

“I want to do something for the good people of Shelburne instead of to the good people of Shelburne”

A councilor of the people, for the people.

Stay, Shop, Support, Shelburne!
