Bob McCrea

I grew up in Mississauga and have lived in Toronto, Waterloo, Brampton and now Mono for over 22 years. With my wife and family we lived in the Cardinal Woods subdivision and now live in the Island Lake subdivision.

I received my Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo in 1976.

I worked for over 40 years in professional industrial customer service, sales and management, consulting with business owners and management to satisfy their company’s needs.

I have been an active participant in the development of Mono for 22 years as a member of the Planning and Environmental Advisory Committee. I have been the chair of this committee for 18 of these years. During this time PEAC has dealt with many important rural and subdivision development issues.

PEAC has also drafted and reviewed several of the Town’s most important by-laws during this time – Zoning, Fill, Noise, Property Standards, Sign and Pool Fencing. We advised Council on the Official Plan review, source water issues and aggregate issues.

I have been a member of the Mono Committee of Adjustment for the last 8 years dealing with minor variance issues.

I was also a member of MRAC for two years and was the chair of the Citizen Engagement subcommittee that presented Mono council with a Citizen Engagement Charter.

I am now retired from business and am seeking to continue to actively guide the development of Mono as a member of Council.
