Blue Mountain Plastics

Blue Mountain Plastics (BMP) has been operating in Dufferin County since 2010 , as one of North America’s only closed loop recycling facilities. We currently purchase approximately 85% of Ontario’s blue box PET plastics and process this material into 100% recycled and recyclable water bottles. Each year we strive for continuous improvement in the areas of innovation and sustainability. 2017 saw a 33 percent increase in capacity by modifying our existing equipment and installing new technology. By recycling existing plastic as opposed to manufacturing new plastic, we reduce energy consumption by 76%, emissions by 78%, and water usage by 99%. BMP believes “there is enough plastic in the world today, we just need to find ways to reuse it.”

Lavender Blue Catering

Lavender Blue Catering and Prepared Foods was founded by 2 friends with ambitions to change the expectations around food and what full service catering should feel like. They started in a small kitchen in the back half of a unit in Downtown Orangeville and in 4 years have taken the company to their permanent home at the Athlete Institute. There they have a commercial kitchen and a café-retail location where you can find frozen take home meals, soups and desserts and freshly prepared meals to take home or stay in. The 2 women strive to make a difference in their community and largely support Family Transition Place and Dufferin Child and Family Services. They also initiated the “Dufferin Mac and Cheese Fest” in support of the hospital.

At Canadian Bath Bomb, we are proud to be North America’s leading supplier of Own Label (Private Label) Bath Bombs. Prim Pickins

Prim Pickins has supplied both the wholesale and retail industry with quality, handmade furniture and home decor. Catching the attention of companies like Home Hardware, Lawtons Drugs, Great Wolf Lodge, Homesense, Hallmark and more, Jamie-Lee grew her business from a small hobby to a industry leading manufacturer. After landing a deal with Dragon Michael Wekerle on CBC’s DRAGONS’ DEN, she later declined the offer off air and has continued to lead her dreams with the help of her family and friends. Prim Pickins (and Jamie-Lee) have gained respect and admiration in the community and can often be found behind the scenes providing volunteer and donation efforts for local charities, events and fundraisers in the community.
