This award goes to a business or a person within a business that has gone above and beyond expectations with a great act of customer service. The nominator should prepare a short story/synopsis of the event or situation that initiated the nomination. We are looking for a specific act of extraordinary Customer Service.

This award is presented to a not-for-profit organization that has filled a need within our community and who through community responsibility, innovation, growth, sound business practices and community partnerships has served the Greater Dufferin County with vision and integrity.

Chamber Member Excellence

This award is presented to a Chamber member who has demonstrated a commitment to not only the GDACC, but to the Greater Dufferin business community and who consistently promotes Dufferin County and the Chamber in their business dealings.

Environmental Excellence

This award is presented to a business or organization whose activities enhances or protects the environment while meeting business demands. Environmental leadership can take many forms including innovation in environmental products or services, better use of energy and water, minimizing wastes through reduction and recycling activities and being an environmental steward in the community.

Student Excellence of the Year Award & Bursary

This award is presented to a full-time student, either high school or post-secondary, who lives in or works at a business in Dufferin. The student has shown initiative and innovation in either their own business venture or working with an established business. The student must be enrolled in at least one business, trade or leadership course or initiative. The successful student has demonstrated leadership and a commitment to their community.

Volunteer Excellence Award

This award is presented to a person who helps Dufferin County be a great place to Work, Live and Play. This nominee will volunteer their own time to a local organization without any remuneration. The nominee will be a resident of Dufferin County or be employed within Dufferin County and volunteer with a local group or organization. Please list the nominee’s volunteer commitments, hours and impact they have had on the organization or people. The nominee does not have to be a Chamber member.

Hospitality Excellence Award

This award is presented to a hospitality focused business that has demonstrated exemplary contribution to Dufferin County through a variety of areas such as: customer service, community involvement and volunteerism, sound employment and business practices, innovation in their market, and leadership to their sector. Hospitality sector includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, other lodging, transportation and some other industries in the tourism sector.

Agricultural Business Excellence

This award is presented to an agriculturally focused business (farming or agriculture dependant) who throughout the past year demonstrated achievement in; expansion or diversification, innovation, environmental responsibility, sound business practices, workplace safety and community involvement.
