Melinda is a retired clinical paediatrician and professional misconduct adjudicator experienced in listening carefully, weighing evidence and making thoughtful, fair decisions. For five years, she has served Mono as a Councillor, demonstrating a responsible, unbiased approach to municipal decision-making while considering residents’ perspectives. She has served on the Recreation Advisory Committee, Shelburne and Rosemont Fire Boards and the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex Board.
She understands the importance of responsible stewardship of Mono’s finances. Fire and Police protection and public works represent the Town’s largest expenditures, followed by recreation and parks and general governance, making careful long-term planning essential. Melinda is committed to maintaining Mono’s high level of service and infrastructure while considering maintenance and lifecycle costs and safeguarding the Town’s long-term financial position.
