Fred has lived in Mono for 54 years. And for 16 of those years, Fred has sat on Mono Council, the last six as Deputy Mayor. He also served for 28 years as Mono’s representative on the Board of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority. And, for the last four years, he has represented Mono on the Board of Credit Valley Conservation. In addition, Fred has sat on County Council for the last five years and on the Shelburne and District Fire Board for the last 16 years.
All of this suggests that Fred has experience. And is prepared to use this experience in another term as Mono’s Deputy Mayor.
His concern about the next term of office is the development pressures Mono will face, and the difficult job of balancing what residents want (better roads?) and the need to keep taxes low (the lowest residential tax rate in Dufferin County.)
