Michele Fisher
Michele Fisher is known for her positive and compassionate approach to issues, and her unwavering commitment to the community.
Since moving to Dufferin-Caledon seven years ago, Michele has actively worked for people and the environment, enhancing our quality of life. She served as President of Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands, President of CFUW Orangeville & District (Canadian Federation of University Women), and helped sponsor and settle a Syrian refugee family through New Neighbours. She continues to help the family to this day. Michele is the kind of leader who brings people together, respecting diversity and finding our common values.
As a marketing and communications professional by trade, Michele has more than 25 years of senior level multi-sector experience. For the last number of years, she has run her own business, consulting with clients across the corporate, not-for-profit and governmental sectors. In her early career, she was Director of Marketing for United Way Greater Toronto, where she co-authored the report, “Beyond Survival: Homelessness in Metro Toronto.” The report resulted in the municipal and provincial governments increasing supports for the homeless.
Michele is running on a platform of positive politics and integrity, two traits she believes we need to tackle the major issues of our time. Issues like climate change and building the economy of the future. Michele will be a champion for Dufferin-Caledon, a strong voice for the interests of our riding, and the kind of Member of who believes in bringing opportunities home
