Doug Thomson

With over 40 years experience in management and leadership positions within the health sector, I retired in 2020 as CEO of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. My career began in the orthopaedic implant industry in 1980 in marketing before moving into management and senior management roles in orthopaedic device companies in both Canada and the United States. After over 20 years in corporate management, I joined the Canadian Orthopaedic Association as CEO and led the organization through two decades of growth, development and change. I am a past board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Dufferin and was a Big Brother to Michael and Brandon over the years.
I have had the privilege of being a resident of Mono for 20 years where I live on the 30th Sideroad with my wife of 45 years, Debbie and our 2 dogs and 2 cats.
I will serve the residents of Mono with energy, dedication, accessibility, and transparency.
