Since 1996, Devonleigh Homes has been shaping the landscape of Dufferin County—one neighbourhood at a time. Founded by Andrew and Lisa Kidd, the company began humbly, buying single lots, building homes, and reinvesting to grow. Today, Devonleigh not only builds houses but also designs entire communities, complete with parks, streets, and shared spaces that bring neighbourhoods to life.
Since 1998, Operations Manager Amanda Ponce has been part of Devonleigh’s journey, helping the company strengthen its reputation for trust and quality. Recent ventures include condominium developments and even a set of 15 “stay and play” villas at Osprey Valley Golf Course. As Amanda notes, Andrew’s philosophy is simple: if he wouldn’t fall in love with the product himself, it’s not ready for market.
What makes Devonleigh unique is its unwavering loyalty to a core group of subtrades—many based right here in Dufferin. From plumbing and electrical to drywall and painting, these trades have partnered with the company since the beginning, ensuring consistency and quality across every project. Rather than overextending, Devonleigh paces its growth to match what its trusted partners can deliver. “We’re one big family,” Amanda explains.
With a team of about 25 employees and dozens of local tradespeople, Devonleigh’s impact goes far beyond construction. The company contributes to hospitals, hospices, and youth sports, while also creating opportunities for co-op and summer students to learn the trade.
