Broadway Engraving Begins New Chapter as Social Enterprise of the Dufferin Board of Trade
Dufferin County, ON – The Dufferin Board of Trade is pleased to announce that Broadway Engraving, a local business that has served Dufferin County for more than 40 years under the ownership of Bill Elliott, will begin a new chapter as a social enterprise initiative of the Dufferin Board of Trade.
This transition ensures the continuation of a valued local service while creating a new way for the Dufferin Board of Trade (DBOT) to support the local business community. Broadway Engraving will relocate to the Dufferin Biz Hub on Hockley Road in Mono, where it will continue operating as a local provider of engraving and signage services while contributing to the Board of Trade’s goal of strengthening and supporting businesses across the region.
The move also represents an expansion of DBOT’s social enterprise, the Dufferin Biz Hub, integrating Broadway Engraving’s services with the Biz Hub’s existing creative and business support offerings, including graphic design, logo development, photography, videography, and marketing services. This integration will allow local businesses and nonprofits to access a broader range of branding, signage, and promotional services all in one place.
Established in 1909, the Dufferin Board of Trade has been advocating for and supporting local businesses for more than a century. Integrating Broadway Engraving as a social enterprise allows the organization to build on that legacy while helping ensure the long-term sustainability of both the business and the programs that support local entrepreneurs and employers.
“Broadway Engraving has been a trusted local business for more than 40 years,” said Doug Harkness, Chair of the Dufferin Board of Trade Board of Directors.“By operating it as a social enterprise, we’re able to keep this important service local while creating additional resources that help us maintain affordable membership fees and reinvest in programs and initiatives that support businesses throughout Dufferin County.”
While the business is entering a new phase, its commitment remains the same — providing reliable, high-quality engraving and signage services right here in Dufferin County.
Broadway Engraving offers a wide range of services including:
- Custom Signs
- Awards and Recognition Products
- Machine Labelling
- Name Badges
- Plaques

As part of this new chapter, members of the Dufferin Board of Trade will receive exclusive discounts and preferred pricing.
