BEA Bio Dufferin County Cultural Resource Circle

trophy

The Dufferin County Cultural Resource Circle has been in operation as a Not For Profit for 5 years. We have run many exciting and engaging events from our first feast in 2104 to the National Indigenous Peoples Day, Conferences, programming and much more. We have been honoured to have two permanent flags within Dufferin County (one in Amaranth and recently one in Orangeville), last summer we had the naming ceremony for the Minokamik Garden (Medicine Wheel Garden) done in both Ojibway and English as part of Bravery Park in the Alder Parklands. We have provided a land acknowledgement that just recently was approved by Shelburne and one we are expecting to begin in Orangeville very soon. We have enjoyed building partnerships with many organizations, corporations and individuals all eager to learn and understand the Indigenous issues, culture and traditions.
