As Director of Business Continuity and Third-Party Disaster Readiness, I’m always looking at how decisions connect, today and tomorrow. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in financial services, anticipating risk, thinking ahead and understanding what happens when one piece changes.
I’m also President and founder of the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association, an Upper Grand District School Board Trustee and Vice-Chair, and author of The Distinctive Leader: Unlocking Leadership Excellence. I’ve hosted three seasons of In Conversation with Alethia on Rogers TV, all while working full-time and being a mom to three young adults.
I’m running for Shelburne Councillor because I believe that combination of professional, governance and community experience can make a meaningful contribution. As Shelburne grows, I want to help Council make thoughtful decisions that keep people at the centre and recognize that the choices we make today shape our community tomorrow.
