Award winners honoured at Gala in Mono

Dufferin County, ON: On October 19th, 2017, the Dufferin Board of Trade celebrated the winners of the 2017 Business Excellence Awards. Business leaders from across the county gathered for the awards gala at the Mono Community Centre for an evening of celebration. A total of eight distinguished awards were presented.

The 2017 Business Excellence Awards received nominations from across Dufferin County. The Award winners were determined by Chambers of Commerce, Community Futures organizations, Business Incubators, and others outside the area for impartial judging.
The evening provided an occasion to showcase the work that the Dufferin Board of Trade has undertaken throughout the year. The Gala was a celebration of the business community in Dufferin. “This event marked the culmination of Small Business Week in Dufferin County” says Pete Renshaw, Chair of the Dufferin Board of Trade “This was a memorable evening that highlighted the important contributions that our local businesses make to the health and vibrancy of our community. The nominees and recipients should all be very proud of this accomplishment”.
The Dufferin Board of Trade was pleased to welcome Matt Wilson, Director
Workplace Health and Safety Services, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and
Richard Koroscil, Interim President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, to address the attendees and speak about Small Business Week and the important work of the Ontario Chamber and the entire chamber network.
The Gala began with the Chairman’s Reception, sponsored by Lavender Blue Catering, featuring hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Guests had an opportunity to network while enjoying the music of the Humber College jazz trio of Jeremy Hucal, Sam Fitzpatrick, and Agneya Chikte. The evening moved into the main hall where the guests were wined and dined with a local and seasonal inspired menu prepared by Lavender Blue Catering.
